I normally don't make New Years resolutions... I can never keep them! One of my biggest goals for 2011 is to keep growing and learning. I made the big decision this past year to quit my design job, and actually I couldn't be happier! I'm focusing all my time and energy into building this blog and my design business, hello! monday. I truly believe I made the right decision, and I look forward to all the new and exciting ventures the new year will bring! And a BIG thank you too all of you reading my blog and for all your kind and inspiring words. If you have suggestions for topics you'd like me to cover in 2011, just drop me an email or leave a comment.
Hope you all have a save and wonderful new year! What are your goals for the upcoming year?(necklace by dogeared)

When I saw these lovely pieces on Esty, I got a little excited! Can you really blame me?? They are cut from recycled plywood, gathered from a local construction site and come in awesome colors like lagoon, sunshine, orange juice & poppy. I have my little eye on either "nerd" or "&" for my office...(images from william dohman)
Just thought I’d share some of my favorite finds for great New Year’s Eve entertaining from Martha Stewart. These ideas are simple, sweet and sure to impress. Usually, the best parties are ones that are down to earth -- without a lot of fuss! So don't stress out too much, keep it simple, and enjoy the evening!!// 1. streamers // 2. party blowers // 3. tinsel banner // 4. sparkling centerpiece // 5. mandarin cocktail

How was everyone's holiday? Mine was really nice, except now I'm not feeling so great. :-/
I blame this cold on my sister.... she's given it too everyone!
Anyways, I've been meaning to post about the 2011 HGTV Dream Home, but with all the holiday hoopla, I kind of got distracted. Have you seen it yet?? If not - here's your chance! It's absolutely stunning and I'm so glad they went the modern route instead of being over-the-top rustic ski lodge. Can you picture yourself living here... I know I can!!
What's your favorite room? Are you going to enter for a chance to win?To view more photos or to take a virtual tour, head over to HGTV.com.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a wonderful Holiday Season! This was my Christmas card this year -- designed and screen printed by yours truly! Stay tuned in the new year for more of my designs and hopefully a shop, where you can purchase things as well! So, this is my last post for a few days, while I take some time off to spend with family and friends. I'll be back next week refreshed and ready to go!
Merry Christmas!! :-)(image and design by jessica baumgart)

When it comes to cool & chic, you don't normally think of laptop cases. Until now! Designers have really stepped it up a notch, and are designing fabulously chic cases & sleeves women will want to carry around! Aren't these so much better than those plain, black, "guy" looking ones? I totally have my eye on the DVF Mariela case.:: left column :: // 1. kate spade // 2. DVF // 3. marc by marc jacobs // 4. lodis
