Book Review & Giveaway // Oliver's Tree

oliver's tree book review by creative index

Guys, remember when I shared my love for artist Kit Chase a few months back? Well, I'm super excited to share that the lovely people over at Penguin Young Readers Group recently sent me a copy of her new book, Oliver's Tree that will hit the shelves on March 20th! And guess what? They sent one for you too!

But first, a little about the book...

Oliver, an adorable elephant and his two friends, Lulu, an owl, and Charlie, a bunny, love to play outside. Their favorite game is hide-and-seek and but it’s not fun for Oliver when his friends hide in the trees— he just can’t manage to reach them!

When Oliver can’t climb a tree to find his friends, Lulu and Charlie hatch a plan to find the perfect tree for Oliver... they search high and low and find a tree that is perfect for all of them!

And the watercolor and ink drawings couldn't be sweeter! The illustrations and simple text will delight readers as they follow along a charming storyline that highlights the power of friendship and the importance of patience and problem-solving.

Oliver's Tree is the first book by freelance artist and Etsy superstar Kit Chase, who is best known for leaving behind trails of broken pencils, eraser fragments, chewed pens, and scraps of scribbled paper. She is the founder and imaginator for LullaLoo, LLC, which operates out of trafalgarssquare.com. Kit resides in sunny Southern California with her sidekick husband, three rollicking children, and a rowdy corgi. She dreams of someday having a backyard full of climb-worthy trees.

You can get your own copy of Oliver's Tree here!
