Life Lately According To My iPhone

Guys! It's been a hot minute since I blogged. I'm so bad at it lately, but I really want to get back into it. Maybe now that the weather is cooling down and longer days inside with not much to do, maybe I'll get back into it.

Other than me not being a good blogger, things really haven't been that exciting. We live pretty boring lives, especially when Brandon was working days (which was the whole Summer). He just went back to nights, so we're hoping to get out a little more.... But I wanted to pop in and say hello... and share some photos from my camera roll, some instagrammed, some not. ;)

A little bit of what we've been up too:

Survived the wrath of Hurricane Matthew! Other places got it a lot worse then us!
Walking the Virginia Beach boardwalk and still eating ice cream!
Checked out some amazing sand sculptures during a festival.
Visiting with family that were in town for a few days.
Exploring Norfolk, VA and its charming neighborhoods.
Lunch dates and finding new coffee shops.
Pumpkin patching and filling up on delicious baked goods.
Applying for new jobs and looking for a new place to live.
Enjoying our (slow) family walks around the block now that the weather is cooler.
Looking forward to a few days in Maryland with my sister wedding dress shopping!

We also said goodbye that sweet furry face in the last photo. My mom and stepdads cat Aurora passed over the rainbow bridge. Earlier in the week, she wasn't feeling good and then needed emergency surgery on her stomach. It was was rough few days, back and forth to the vet, but the Dr. seemed optimistic. She started to decline and was rushed to the vet and stayed overnight. They got the heartbreaking call the next morning.

Finally, we could use some good vibes. My little Bosco is having surgery on his eye today. He has a small lump above his eye. (not on his eye, more where his eyebrow is) We held off as long as we could... I really didn't want to put him through a surgery, but it has gotten bigger over the months. It was starting to effect him and he would close that eye a lot more, so we decided to have the surgery. Prayers appreciated!!

That's it... for now..
Hopefully it won't take as long for me to post again! ;)

  2. I love that you're enjoying all the fall vibes. So sorry to hear about your mom & stepdad's cat :( I am sending good thoughts and prayers to you with Bosco's eye surgery. Louie had to get a mass removed from her eyelid a few years ago and it made me so nervous also, but I pray that Bosco is in good hands with the vet!
