Shop Small This Christmas

I know Thanksgiving is in 2 days, but I wanted to show some love to my favorite small shops because small business Saturday is also coming up! (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?

I know we're all gonna go to the mall and the big box stores, but let's not forget the little guys this Holiday season.... or all year long for that matter! ;) Even if you buy just one or two gifts from an independent artist or shop this season, you're making a big impact... we are supporting creative talent, local communities and that money is also going into a family bank account... and not to that super rich CEO! What I also LOVE about a lot of small businesses, they giveback by donating a portion of sales to great causes! Something I plan on doing next year! (just one of several changes that are coming to my little biz!)

Enjoying...
everything Fall! The changing leaves, pumpkin patches, festive farm markets, cooler weather... and give me all the pumpkin-spice things! Trader Joe's pumpkin bread has been made multiple times and I can't wait to bust out the crockpot!

Eating...
way too many sweets! Donuts, cupcakes, macarons, halloween candy... my sweet tooth is out of control.

Wanting...
a Nespresso machine. Because I love coffee and am getting a little tired of my plain old brew. I want a cup that tastes like I'm at the cute coffee shop around the corner. I've been reading lots of good things about it, so that might be going on my Christmas list. ;)

DREAMING...
of Georgetown. If you follow on insta, you might of seen me over gram a little. I couldn't help it though. It's just so dang charming! We were only there one day (wedding dress shopping for my sister) and I fell in love!  I'm definitely already trying to figure out when we can visit again! (hoping to get a little re-cap up on the blog soon)

Working...
on 2 sets of wedding invitations! My sister and cousin are both getting married next year and I have the honor of designing the invites! They are both pretty different (one formal and the other more casual) so it's nice to get back into designing. Which I haven't been doing much lately.... but hopefully I can share more soon.... I'm also hoping to get a new set of Holiday gift tags done. Let's see if I can get my butt in gear and get them done.

Feeling...
a little sad. Some family/friends have lost their sweet fur babies recently and I'm so sad for them. With Bosco's age getting up there, it hits me even harder. Plus the lump on Bosco's eye was cancerous. We're not sure what the next step is but we will be talking with the vet soon. If you could, please keep my little guy in your prayers.

Bosco Had Eye Surgery

This past Wednesday, my sweet little Bosco had eye surgery. A little over a year ago, we noticed a lump started growing over his right eye. We didn't really think to much of it at the time, but over the months it started getting bigger.... and bigger... and bigger. And because of his age (14 1/2) we really struggled and debated over and over (and over!) on what to do. We love this little fellow so much!

Life Lately According To My iPhone

Guys! It's been a hot minute since I blogged. I'm so bad at it lately, but I really want to get back into it. Maybe now that the weather is cooling down and longer days inside with not much to do, maybe I'll get back into it.

Other than me not being a good blogger, things really haven't been that exciting. We live pretty boring lives, especially when Brandon was working days (which was the whole Summer). He just went back to nights, so we're hoping to get out a little more.... But I wanted to pop in and say hello... and share some photos from my camera roll, some instagrammed, some not. ;)
