I love this quote for so many reasons.

Lately, I've been feeling like I'm not reaching high enough. I've been worrying too much about what other people might think (plus I've been comparing myself to other more "successful" bloggers/designers) and it's messing with my head... and creative potential.

I need to raise the bar and be more confident in my style/work/brand. It's time to stop comparing and start doing. I need to follow my ideas and dreams and see where they take me....

Never stepping out of my comfort zone or trying something new, is and will be a HUGE failure.

  1. That's a beautiful quote, and such a beautiful design. And I've done some of my best designs after failing miserably the first time.

  2. I know how you feel. I'm a new blogger and am constantly comparing myself to other more established blogs. Instead, I just need to focus on being me and creating things I enjoy. Not everything I do will be a success, but creativity is a process.

  3. LOVE IT! Couldn't be more true! My dad always taught me not to care what others think... someone is always going to hate it and love it. It's hard not to compare yourself to others, but there is always someone out there comparing their self to you! Chin up buttercup :)

  4. One of my favorite quotes, which I remind myself and others of is: Comparison is the thief of Joy. Period. Whether you compare your new shoes or career path or income.... placing what is yours against someone elses will always rob you of the decisions you made, the happiness you had with the item/choice, and will perpetually leave an individual discontent. Being yourself, taking your own risks, creating something that is from within you - those are things that make you unique and that draw people's attention in the right way!! xo
