Week/End

creative index week/end

Well, we made it through another week! And to be honest with you, I feel like everyone has forgotten about Thanksgiving!  I LOVE Christmas as much as the next person and I may have started listening to Christmas music here and there (I need to be in a festive zone while designing those Holiday tags!) but come on people... what about Thanksgiving?! I've seen a few bloggers with fully-decorated trees, ornaments and reindeer everywhere, glitter and garland to the max..... why are we rushing it! The days are going by so fast as it is! The whole season is going to be over in a blink of an eye. Can we all just slow down a little and not completely forget about Thanksgiving!

I've rounded up a few Thanksgiving links in case you need a little inspiration. And next week I'll share a recipe round-up for any last minute menu ideas you might need!

+ Use this cute printable to reflect on the things we have to be thankful for.
+ Love this super simple bunting garland!
+ Also love this (plastic) pumpkin centerpiece!
+ Tired of using the same napkin rings? Then make these cute paper leaf ones.
+ Mini pumpkin pies! Yes, please!
+ If you're crazy about mason jars, this project is for you! Think of the possibilities!
+ Decorate your phone/desktop with this cute wallpaper.
+ I love an infographic! This one will help you perfectly prepare your meal!
+ Carve a turkey the right way!

Happy Friday and happy weekend! :)

  2. I seriously know what you mean. I feel like I'm railroading Thanksgiving this year because all my focus right now is on Christmas and planning out decorations, cards and gifts to make! I think our Thanksgiving will be more low key this year so maybe that's why my spirits are not that high. But perhaps once we get slightly closer my love for Thanksgiving will come back :) Have a great weekend!

  3. I'm with you 100%! What about Thanksgiving? Why can't we get through Thanksgiving first before being bombarded by Christmas songs and commercials! And I'm Jewish, so I don't even care about Christmas haha! :)

Yay I love when people post tons of links! Have a fab weekend!

  4. Those mini pumpkin pies are adorable...heck, everything here is perfect for a thanksgiving party! We had our Thanksgiving (Canadian) in October and then we have our 2nd one (American, for hubby) now. Thanksgiving is very special to us and we like to go around the table and talk about what we are thankful for.

  5. I totally agree! Xmas decorations and music are strictly not allowed in our house until after we eat that turkey :-) Thanks for including my printables in your round up, lady!

  6. Yes I totally agree with you! I was just talking about this weekend every year I get so excited for Fall and then by the time Halloween is over its like all the commercialism goes into hyperdrive and we skip Thanksgiving and reflection and gratitude and go right to Christmas, I'm trying to stay out of stores and enjoy time with family. I think that helps some :)
I love little white whale's thankful list :)

  7. Thanksgiving is such a wonderful holiday - I'm actually gutted we don't celebrate it here in the UK! I just love the idea of being together and being thankful and grateful for the smallest things. I can't wait to spend this special day one day in the US!
